Happy February, friends! I hope this little love note finds you warm, cozy, and settling into the rhythm of winter. I wanted to share a few experiences that have brought me joy (and a little wonder) over the past few weeks. Did you know there’s a restaurant in Montreal where you dine in complete darkness, served by legally blind waitstaff? O Noir is an incredible experience. Without sight, your other senses come alive in a whole new way—and the food is absolutely amazing. It’s a powerful reminder of how much we take in when we slow down and truly feel our way through an experience. And if you’re craving a little heat and connection, I highly recommend booking an hour at a lakeside sauna with friends or someone special. My mom, sister, and I recently went and loved every minute. Pro tip: try to snag a sunset hour—it’s spectacular. If staying cozy at home is more your speed, I am loving the book Wintering by Katherine May. She explores what it means to “winter” emotionally, physically, and historically, and how people across cultures embrace this quieter season of life. It feels like a perfect companion for February. Now for the love note part… I often end class with a mantra that includes: May we ride the waves of our lives. It feels especially wavy out there lately, and I can honestly say there’s no one else I’d rather ride these waves with.
