Hello friends! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! I am writing this sitting by the fire Christmas Eve morning. Everyone is sleeping even my little pug is snoring besides me. We have had a whirlwind of a week, driving down and back to Boston so we could get our two grown kids that tested positive for COVID back to Vermont for Christmas. I know we are not the only ones coming up with plan B’s for the holiday. Luckily they have now tested negative and are feeling well! If you are feeling down, frustrated and tired by this pandemic, I hear you! Here are a few things I am doing to help process and work through these challenging times: Listening to this podcast from Tara Brach on Loss & Grieving Reading Brene Browns new book Atlas of the Heart Trying to keep up my routine of my gratitude journal, meditation and yoga each morning Watching Instagram Reels of dancing babies and talking dogs : ) Working on a letter to myself (idea from Erika Schramm from Skylight Coaching) that comes from the perspective that it is the end of 2022…. how am I feeling, and what did I accomplish? It’s really fun and inspiring! Drinking! Well, drinking for a good cause. In support of The American Foundation of Suicide Prevention, Waterworks, Deli 126 and Monarch and the Milkweed have made Runamok Sparkle Cocktails that honor a dear friend, Scott Weinheimer that lost his life to suicide. His wife Kathleen has taken this tragedy and turned it into an opportunity to share their story and help others. The tree on Church Street is from their front yard spreading LIGHT & HOPE.
