Love Life

Love life- the sheer adventure

of sailing into the unknown.

I’m not speaking here only

of the bone and flesh life,

the visible and material.

Love the inner life too,

the life of spirit, joy, and wisdom.

Fully inhabit this

temple of the body, yes-

and also claim the mystery

of the unmanifest, the two

together weaving a seamless

whole that clothes you in light.

Love this life, not some imaginary

future when all your problems

have been solved, all your rough

edges sanded smooth.

Love this life with its impossible

demands. Open to its many gifts,

investigating whether what seem

like boundaries are really there

at all. Maybe your true nature

is vast beyond measure and the

opportunity to know yourself

inside and out is worth more

than any treasure.
